Hi everyone!
I hope everybody is fine. Today I’m going to talk about my
favorite subject this term.
This semester have been different and confussing for
everyone in the university, personally I don't had a very good experience with
my subjects by the teachers but the subject that I liked the most this semester
was “processes and prototypes I”. As the name implies, this is about production
processes and prototypes, and it teaches us that as design students, we should
be more concerned with the process than with the end result. Within what we
could see, we saw concepts related to production and their relationship between
them such as tools, raw materials,
products, among others.
We also saw the traceability of objects, the Rube Goldberg
machine concept and finally the mathematical model of Rosalind Krauss.
Personally I like this subject because it opened my eyes to
what's behind the design and I believe that it is very interesting and
important for design students. In my class, we did differents works such as the
production processes of a recipe, the traceability of an object, we even did a
Rube Goldberg machine with all classmates through video editing. And this is
what I liked the most about the subject but I did not enjoy it as much as I
wanted due to the online method.
Example of Rube Golberg machine:
This is all for today, see you next blog.
